CALL FOR FREE PAPER
The Organizing Committee of the 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027 warmly invites researchers, clinicians, laboratory professionals, and healthcare practitioners to submit their original research and clinical studies. The Free Paper sessions provide a valuable platform to share scientific discoveries, innovative practices, and real-world experiences that contribute to advancing newborn screening. Through scientific exchange and collaboration, these presentations will support the development of evidence-based screening programs and strengthen newborn screening across the Asia-Pacific region.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE : 01 APRIL 2027

GENERAL INFORMATION
● All abstracts must be original work.
● The paper must not have been published prior to 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027.
● No abstracts will be considered after the closing deadline.
● The presenting author of abstract must be registered as Registrant of 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027 conference.
● The abstracts submission for the same primary Author is limited to two abstracts.
● Select the presentation type: Oral & E-Poster. The Scientific Committee will determine whether the Abstract will be accepted for Oral Presentation or E-Poster Viewing sessions.

ABSTRACT PREPARATION GUIDELINES
All Abstracts must be submitted online with Microsoft Word file attachment, with the following preparation:

  1. Abstracts must be typed in English; Arial font size 11pt and single spacing
  2. The Abstract must not exceed the 300 words limit excluding the title and authors.
  3. Abstract title written in UPPER CASE (Capital Letters)
  4. Authors’ full name shall be written by first name and followed by family name in upper and lower case
  5. Primary author(s) is the first mentioned. The presenter’s name is Underlined.
  6. Affiliation details in sequence for department, institution/hospital, city/state, country
  7. Avoid using non-standard abbreviations, unfamiliar terms; symbols or acronyms not easily understood by general readers. Non-standard abbreviations must be defined in full at their first appearance
  8. Use generic name of drugs. Express numbers as numerals
  9. Abstract contains only Text. Any table/graphs/diagrams should NOT be included in the abstract.
  10. References are not mandatory, and the word count is counted including references.
  11. The content of Abstracts (Research/Systematic Review/Meta Analysis Study) is four paragraphs that briefly state as follow:
    1. OBJECTIVE: State concisely why the study was conducted.
    2. METHOD: Indicate the locale, sample number, principal test(s) performed, and the types of statistical analysis employed.
    3. RESULT: confirm or refute the hypothesis, supported by statistic if appropriate.
    4. CONCLUSION: State the effect of the study on future patient management or understanding of basic process.
  12. Abstract submission is also valid for Case Report with the content of Abstract in three paragraphs that briefly state as follow:
    1. OBJECTIVE: State concisely why this case is important to report, its novelty, and its clinical implications.
    2. CASE: Case description
    3. CONCLUSION: A summary of the clinical implications of the case, suggestions for clinical application, precautions to be taken, or topics of further research required.

HOW TO SUBMIT ABSTRACT ON-LINE

  1. Register as participants in the 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027.
  2. Participants are encouraged to complete their registration before submitting their Free Paper Abstracts with the final date for payment on 15 April 2027.
  3. Submit your abstract as Microsoft Word attachments and submitted via the “Abstract Submission” page here https://www.isns-asiapacific2027/abstract-submission/
  4. Complete the Abstract Presenter data as follows:

  1. Fill in all the fields required. Then click the upload button and choose the abstract’s file from your local computer – we strongly recommend for word-processor software – then click “Submit” to complete the submission process.

Acceptable file formats are in .doc/.docx or zip file, the maximum file size is 3 MB. Please note that uploading files may take a while depending on traffic and your internet connection.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

IMPORTANT NOTE

Free Paper presenters are required to register as participants of 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027 and obtain a registration number, which can be found on the registration invoice. Incomplete registration payment by the specified deadline may result in disqualification from the Free Paper presentation.

The submitted Free Paper file must be in correct format and in .DOC/DOCX file extension with a maximum file size of 5.0 MB. File upload process may take some time depending on your internet connection speed and website traffic. Please do not leave or close this page until the upload process has been completed.

ABSTRACT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
● Abstract will be first reviewed by the 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027 Committee upon quality, clarity, and relevance for the audience, as well as the significance of the paper.
● Acceptance letter of abstracts will be sent to the presenter email along with the E-Poster Preparation Guidelines at the latest 30 April 2027.
● The E-Poster presentation schedule will be notified later after the PDF E-Poster submission is completed.

WITHDRAWAL & CHANGES
● Abstract is allowed to be edited for one time only.
● The edited Abstract should be emailed to freepaper@geoconvex.com with the subject [ISNS 2027] Revised Abstract (Presenter Name) at the latest before 15 April 2025.
● Withdrawal/changes will not be possible after the above-mentioned date.
● Automatic disqualification will be made when the registration payment is not completed by 30 April 2027.

PUBLICATION
● The presenting Author must be registered as participant to ensure their Abstract(s) is included in the final program. The uncommitted registration will cause the disqualification of Abstract and will not be published accordingly. Automatic cancellation will be made when the registration payment is not completed by 30 April 2027.
● Submission of Abstract acknowledges the acceptance for Abstract to be published in official 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027 publications.
● The committee reserves the right to edit the abstract format for uniformity regarding publication.

FREE PAPER PRESENTATION
During 12th ISNS-Asia Pacific 2027, selected participants will have the opportunity to present their abstract in Oral or E-Poster viewing session pre-sided with Panel of Juries upon schedule, which will be displayed from 22 – 23 May 2027 at the venue.

BEST FREE PAPER PRESENTATIONS
● All free paper abstract participants will receive a Certificate of Participation.
● The selected Oral and E-Poster Presentations will be pre-sided by Panel of Juries upon schedule.
● The best Oral and E-Poster Presentation in each category will be rewarded with cash prizes and a winner certificate.
● The result of winning presentations will be formally announced at Closing Ceremony on Sunday, 23 May 2027. The winner Presenters will be further contacted by Secretariat for administrative purpose.
